The organization of our trip was perfect from beginning to the end. The organized program was exact the correct mixture of action (Rafting), culture (Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu), relaxation (Pokhara) and fauna (Chitwan), even though our Nepal vacations without trekking were rather atypical. We experienced a well-balanced mixture out of city, rural atmosphere as well as insights into the special fauna of the Chitwan National park. The chosen lodgings were throughout excellent. We got an insight into the country and its culture through Temba‘s and Sabine’s professional sightseeing tour. The vacation have enthused us so that we think already about a further vacation in Nepal for 2011 and we have browsed already the homepage of Sabine and Temba for new tours. The team of Sabine and Temba is very recommendable. They arranged always the best guides for us.
Thank you very much for the wonderful trip!

(21) As we considered traveling to Nepal our biggest worry was to find a good and reliable trekking agency. There are so many trekking agencies with just as many websites.

We were very lucky to get a recommendation of friends: Tembas Nepal Trek. And this recommendation was excellent! Already in the run-up after the first contact the consultation and the support was great. Thus we knew very quickly to join the trek to Langtang and Gosainkund for 11 days. In the first half of the tour we trekked through the Langtang valley up to Kyanjin Gompa. Through a very well designed acclimatization we reached the height 4.700 m without problems. After that we descended up to 1970 m in order to climb again direction to Gosainkund. In contrast to Langtang where the trail leads through a deeply notched, but very beautiful valley, we walked on a ridge to Gosainkund and had excellent and beautiful views to all sides. Our personal highlight on the program came after reaching the Holy lakes of Gosainkund: the Surya Peak, 5.145m. Thanks to Biru, our guide and Norbu, our porter we climbed the peak successfully. Together with them we enjoyed a beautiful trek and we had the feeling to travel with friends. We were a great team of 4 people, who spent wonderful days together. Here once again thanks to our brilliant trekking team Biru and Norbu. Also after the trek, the further organization of the bus trips, the flight to Pokhara, the lodgings and the stay in Chitwan national park was great. Sabine and Temba organized everything perfectly so that the program worked out without problems. We liked the personal care a lot and we had the feeling to visit friends!! Thank you for an unforgettable, beautiful and exciting trip! We see each other again!!

Thanks and greetings,
Namaste Alex and Silja

(20) Dear Sabine and Temba,
Already Temba’s Airport pick up service showed a very good organization and loving personal care. During the Welcome Dinner we were fascinated by Temba’s experiences of mountain-climbing and trekking and we noticed the huge know how of an expert. Thus it was possible for us to understand country and people quite well. We want to emphasize the permanent care and the reliability of all. The whole time was affected by disport and fun. We are thankful for that very nice vacation in Nepal. By all means we will organize our next Nepal vacation (wherever) only with Tembas Nepal Trek.

Sincerely yours,
Matthias and Helene

(18) What makes a Himalayan trek an unforgettable experience?
The right choice of the trek? The region? A good preparation? A good physical condition? Yes. Yes. Yes and yes.

But there is also one thing that should not be underestimated: The right choice of trekking company.

Keep in mind that you'll spend 7 to 21 days with a guide and a porter. This can be a long time if the chemistry is not matching. We were lucky. To be precise, we were extremely lucky in many ways with our choice: Tembas Nepaltrek.

Since we are from Germany we of course took advantage of the fact that Sabine and Temba speak German. Especially when you do such a tour for the first time, there are many questions that want to be answered. So we met in our hotel in Kathmandu the day after our arrival and spoke about everything that was on our mind.

We also met our guide Mingmar who appeared very young and shy. Temba and Sabine did most of the talking and especially Temba gave us a good view on his ultimate trekking experience and his attitude towards organized tourist treks. There was also a package handed on to us with a detailed description of the trek, permissions, maps etc. We talked about our selected trip, the trek to Annapurna base camp and Poonhill and we felt that everything is in good hands. There was nothing we had to take care of except sending passport pictures in advance.

The next day Mingmar picked us up with a taxi to take us to the bus station, the beginning of our trip. He still was very shy but he really took perfectly care of us. He was always there for us and seemed to read our minds. The selected bus service seemed to be one of the better ones, but that’s a hard thing to judge.
Arriving in Pokhara we had one day to rest and to get a feeling of the lake village. Our hotel "Lakeview resort" was also a good choice.

Unfortunately Birgit became sick so we were unable to leave the next day. Mingmar immediately showed us where we can save time during the trip, so that we neither had to extend the trip nor miss or cut anything. After a 36hrs sleep Brigit recovered and we could start the following day. We met our porter (with a name I will never remember (badressin??)) who never said a word except Namaste but who was a wonderful character with a lot of warm-heartedness besides his amazing strength.

And then we were in! 12 days with joy and pain, lots of hot lemon, headaches and moments of extreme enthusiasm. Unbelievable views like never before, cold nights and hot showers. Through real rural villages, all kinds of forests, over hundreds of suspension bridges, up and down trillions of handmade steps. Since I'm German I always compared the day trips that were chosen by Tembas Nepaltrek with the ones described in lonely planet. I must admit that we felt much more comfortable with Temba’s selection. The estimated times fit perfectly to our needs. The lonely planet recco would have been too tough for us some of the days. Mingmar was the perfect guide for us. He left us enough space when we felt like it. He knew the trek by heart. He took good care of us and always double checked if everything was ok with us. We spent some long hours playing cards, laughing or talking nonsense. "Friend" is a word that should be used with care, but these 12 days glued us somehow together and we learned a lot about each other.

To sum it up. The Annapurna base camp trek with the Poonhill extension was THAT unforgettable experience.
And we are very grateful to TEMBAS NEPALTREK TEAM for all the energy, hospitality and deep friendliness that we received all the time. We say THANK YOU especially to MINGMAR and BADRESSING??? and we hope to see you someday soon for the MUSTANG trek!

(15) Dear Sabine, dear Temba, thanks you very much for the excellent organization of our project tour. Sometimes it was certainly not easy with us. Some of us arrived later, in-between some of us liked to visit somewhere else, others liked to go away… you managed this in a very professional way and it was very comfortable to travel with you.

I will recommend you and I am sure I will be your guest again!

Sincere greetings!

Dear Sabine and Temba

The time which you organized for us was beautiful and very relaxed. Relaxative, simply because your organization was excellent. Thank you very much for that. If we see any chance, we always will recommend you. Best of luck and success for your business!
