The Terms and Conditions of Tembas Nepal Trek & Expedition Pvt. Ltd. (hereinafter named “TNT”) are listed below:
1. Booking Requirements
Bookings should be made in written form by fax, e-mail or online submission. The booking will be confirmed as soon as possible by e-mail.
On all tours, rooms or tents are provided in twin sharing basis. Thus, single room supplement charge will be imposed to client who does not have another tour participant to share room / tent with. Please inform TNT in advance if single or double room/tent is required. Additionally to the tour price a single room/ tent charge is to be paid.
TNT reserves the right to charge compensation in case of changes of a booked tour.
2. Payment
After booking confirmation, 20 % prepayment is required.
Rest of the payment should be paid in cash or should be transferred two weeks before tour departure date.

3. Passenger Cancellation & Refund Policy
Written notification (E-mail, Internet) of cancellation should be made to cancel any tour. The following cancellation charges hereby incurred:
- Till 46 day before departure date = 10 % of the tour cost
- From 45. day to 30. day before departure date = 15 % of the tour cost
- From 29. day to 15. day before departure date = 30 % of the tour cost
- From 14. day to 8. day before departure date = 50 % oft the tour cost
- From 7. day to one day before departure date = 70 % of the tour cost
- Day of departure = 80 % of the tour cost
The clients are entitled to receive refund in case the paid amount exceeds the amount of the cancellation charge.
4. Pricing/Currency Fluctuation
TNT reserves the right to revise the price of any tour posted at websites or in brochures on the pressure of various external factors that are further than TNT’s control, for instance changes in exchange rate, currency fluctuation, land or air costs, government action etc. TNT puts forth effort to keep on the present price.
5. Right to disclosure
The Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS) was started from 1st of January 2008 to ensure safety and security of trekkers in general trekking areas and to control illegal trekking operations. The details of trekkers to general trekking areas are recorded by Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) and Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and a TIMS Card is issued. TIMS monitors personal data, data of the trek, of the trekking region and of the trekking route. TNT organizes the respective TIMS cards.
6. Changes in Itinerary / Drop out from journey
To make alterations of any tour itinerary, prior notice is requested. The clients are advised to stay in touch with TNT thus. But occasionally, the clients may be obliged to do so en route under certain circumstance for instance bad weather etc.
No refund will be made to the clients who drop out from the journey regardless of whatever portions remain unused in the itinerary.
7. Acceptance of Risk and Responsibility (Disclaimer)
TNT shall not be responsible for any delays and alterations in the program/itinerary or expenses incurred directly or indirectly due to natural hazards, flight cancellation, accident, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, closures blockades due to political unrest or any such incidents.
TNT shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services resulting directly or indirectly from any act of nature, dangers, fire, accident, strikes, thefts, epidemics or any other causes beyond TNT’s control.
8. Clients’ Obligation
It is the clients’ own responsibility to obtain passport & travel visa. The passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended return date. The clients are responsible for providing TNT with correct, complete and accurate information regarding personal details including physical disabilities.
9. Cancellation by TNT
If TNT cancels a booked trip due to unforeseen circumstances like war, natural disasters, conflict, unfavorable climate etc. TNT would be happy to refer an alternative tour with similar standard. If the clients are not satisfied with this, all money paid by the clients will be refunded. Any other expenses incurred by the clients as a result of this booking are entirely their responsibility.
10. Tour Leader Authority
The clients acknowledge and agree to abide by the decisions of the tour leader.
Moreover the clients acknowledge and agree that the tour leader has full authority over the trek itinerary, including without limitation, alterations to the schedule, location of overnight lodging locations, and amount of time spent at each destination.
In the event the clients have a concern about their trek, they should notify their tour leader of such concern.
Additionally, the tour leader may remove clients from the trek for any reason that may negatively effect or cause interruption to the tour experience, including without limitation, behavior that may cause harm or danger to another passenger or third party.
11. Flight delay
There is virtually possibility of flight delay or postponement for notorious weather in Himalayan regions which could be happened, in particular, in Everest region (Lukla), Jomsom, Dolpo, Simikot and Jumla region etc.
Trekking in the remote areas or in as described above, especially during odd season, the clients are highly advised to reserve extra days to prepare with some delays and avoid frustrating consequence. In case of delay in flight prior to tour departure or at the end of the tour, clients need to pay their accommodation, food costs, etc. by themselves.
12. Insurance
TNT recommends purchasing travel and health insurance that should include evacuation, medical and personal accident risks, helicopter rescue, where appropriate, repatriation and tour cancellation, damages and loss or theft of baggage.
13. Health Regulations
It is the clients’ own responsibility to inform themselves about health regulations and required immunization protection.
Information to this is given by departments of public health, physicians, tropics institutes, the Foreign Office, etc.
14. Tour Operator

These conditions shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the law of Nepal.
